Advance Diagnostic Laboratories comes to your office to conduct Electromyography (EMG) and Nerve Conduction Velocity (NCV) testing at a time convenient for you and your patients.
The NCV test uses a small electrical pulse to measure the response from one point to another in a nerve. This simple procedure lasts only 20 minutes and allows the physician to quickly locate damage in the peripheral nervous system, which includes all nerves that lead from the brain and spinal cord.
The EMG test measures the electrical activity of muscles at rest and during contraction, helping you diagnose diseases that can damage nerves, muscle tissue or the junctions between nerve and muscle.
Both of these tests can be used to accurately diagnose and offer guidance in your treatment of pinched nerves, carpal tunnel syndrome and many other medical conditions. The information from your EMG and NCV will help you as a physician to determine the type of care best suited to your patient. See how it works.
